We had an interview with the managing director of the company, and here’s what Mr. Ranjan has to say:
“We view water management holistically, covering source, usage, reuse, and discharge. We aim for zero discharge, so every drop of water, whether it’s RO reject water, evaporator water, or process by-product water, is reused.
Before installing the Beltecno tank, we lacked sufficient intermediary storage capacity. We couldn't properly store evaporator water or high-TDS water for reuse in activities like fruit washing or floor cleaning.”

1. Can you briefly describe the nature of your business?
We process a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are grown locally, converting them into pulp, puree, and concentrate.
These processed ingredients are then supplied to major food and beverage brands like Nestlé (baby food), Pepsi, Real, ITC, Patanjali, etc.
Our aim is to add value to farm produce by converting perishable fruits and vegetables into storable, usable forms.
2. How critical is smart water management in your operations?
Water quality, hygiene, and storage are foundational to our operations.
We adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), maintain climate control, and implement sustainable environmental systems. Our goal is to match global factory standards in food-grade processing and infrastructure.
3. How does the SS panel tank help in water recycling?
We use the tank to store and repurpose: We are using it for storing evaporated water (distilled-quality water, but with high BOD/COD).
RO rejected water for cleaning and non-potable uses, and washed water for gardening or supplying nearby farmers in summer.
This has resulted in daily savings of up to 150,000 litres of water, significantly reducing the water wastage!
4. Why did you choose stainless steel panel tanks over concrete or plastic options?
Two key reasons:
- Durability & Heat Resistance: Plastic tanks can degrade under high temperatures (up to 48–49°C), while SS tanks can withstand Indian outdoor conditions.

5. How has the tank performed since installation in October 2024?
The tank has performed well. No issues in design or construction. While some integration work is still pending, overall hygiene, operational efficiency, and reliability have met expectations.
6. How was the delivery and installation experience?
Installation was slightly challenging due to logistics, and transport through narrow roads caused some minor dents.
But Beltecno handled the situation well. In response to this, for the second order, Beltecno has planned on-site assembly at our factory to avoid such issues.
7. Have there been any improvements in production quality or hygiene compliance?
While we didn't switch from plastic to SS for this particular application (so no direct comparison), we now store more water, save more water, and align better with our environmental goals. Hygiene has been consistently maintained due to the nature of SS.
